Debit Card Reissue

Because of a regulatory mandate from VISA, new debit cards will be issued and shipped on or after March 3, 2025.

Please be on the lookout for your card around this time.

  • Timeline: Your new debit card will be mailed to your address on file and should arrive on or after March 3, 2025.
  • Activation: Instructions for activating your new card will be included in the package. Please activate it promptly once received.
  • New Card: Your new card will function the same as your current one, with no additional features. If you currently have a custom image card, your replacement will be our standard green debit card. To continue using a custom image card, you will need to place a new order.
  • As a part of our upgrade to meet Network requirements, any recurring payments set up with the former debit card number will be updated to the new card number.
  • Old Card: Your current debit card will remain active until you activate your new card. After that, your old card will no longer work.
  • No Changes to Your Account: Your account number, PIN, and other details will remain the same.
  • Verify Your Information: Ensure your mailing address and contact information are up to date by logging into your online banking account or visiting your nearest branch.
  • Look Out for Your New Card: Keep an eye on your mailbox in the coming weeks and follow the activation instructions promptly upon receipt.
  • Review: Any automatic payments you have connected to your card should be verified that they have been updated once your new card has been activated.
Will my account number change?
Your checking account number IS NOT going to change. Your debit card number IS going to change. Please be aware of this if you have your card number stored digitally for payments. 
 
Will my automatic payments be updated?
As a part of our upgrade to meet Network requirements, any recurring payments set up with the former debit card number will be updated to the new card number.
 
How long will I have to activate my new card?
You will have 3 months before you lose access to your old card. Your new card will need to be activated by May 1st. 
 
Will I lose my uChoose Rewards points?
No! Your new card will begin accruing points as soon as it is activated. Your points on your old card will be transferred over on May 1st.
